Senior Full-Stack Engineer

A growing Fintech company developing complex, scalable products and solutions for a global customer base is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join one of its core product teams.

You'll work on complex financial systems, customer-facing features and internal tools, with significant ownership from understanding the problem and defining the solution through design, development and production.

Responsibilities:

• Own features and projects end-to-end, from understanding the problem and initial discussions through design, development and production.
• Work closely with Product, Risk, Engineering and business stakeholders to understand problems, challenge assumptions and translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Design and develop scalable Backend systems, customer-facing features and internal tools across the Full-Stack.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve existing systems and processes, including building configurable solutions rather than customer-specific implementations.
• Work with data to improve underwriting, product capabilities and customer experience.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions and code reviews, while contributing to technical direction and engineering best practices.
• Help evolve the team's architecture and systems to remain scalable, maintainable and easy to adapt as the product and company grow.

Requirements:

• Proven experience building and maintaining production software, with strong experience in Backend systems and Full-Stack development.
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript, as well as React.
• Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs and AWS.
• Ability to translate features, product requirements and business problems into clear, executable technical plans and scalable solutions.
• Proven experience taking end-to-end ownership of features or projects.
• Comfortable working directly with engineers, Product, Risk and business stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and system-thinking skills, with the ability to understand the product, business and user needs beyond the technical implementation.
• Ability to challenge assumptions and balance pragmatic solutions with long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
